So today is Pearl Harbor Day. Sad. But a little known fact is that it is also National Cotton Candy Day- one of my favorites!
Today I only sent out 17 cards. One official, 11 for RR's and 5 for tags. I received 8. Woohoo!

So I have been really busy lately! I haven't updated in a bit!

Btw- I've been so busy with PostCrossing because I joined the December Round Robin and so far there are 54 people that I have to send cards to! I have sent about 27 and the rest are stamped and addressed- I just have to write a personal note now! Woohoo! I'm trying to send at least 10 of those out tomorrow!

Time to go take care of the babies!! haha

November 28 Activities

So Saturday November 28 we went to Seattle with the in-laws. We went up the Space Needle which was super cool and I took tons of pictures! We also went to Pike Place Public Market and that was pretty cool too! The best part of the day though, was buying 41 postcards! Ok- that's a joke, but I did buy that many cards! Lots of Seattle cards! And I finally found Map cards with the State bird, flag, etc on it! I bought about 6 of those! haha

When we got home I found out that I had received three cards!
One from Finland from a TAG:

Tomorrow I will be sending out at least 10 cards. I have to halt with the Tagging and other RR's for a bit so I can work on the ever growing December RR- it's over 50 people right now! I'll get started on those this week!

Yesterday, I went shopping at a thrift store with my mother-in-law and stumbled upon a stack of unused postcards from all over the world! I bought 126 blank postcards and 78 Christmas cards! The postcards were only $.10 a piece! We went to another thrift store and my mother-in-law bought me 44 more cards! I was so excited! I also picked up some random playing cards- about 7 packs to add to my collection, but that will be another blog soon!

So that was my busy day in PostCrossing!!

Official and Unofficial Being Sent

So I'm about to head out to go to the post office to buy more stamps. For some reason I still haven't received the .98 cent stamps I ordered last week! Grr. I'm sending out a bunch of cards today though. I wanted most of them out two days ago, but no stamps. And of course the post office isn't open on Sunday so no sending any out yesterday.

The official card being sent out is to The Netherlands because my Germany card made it today!

So I recently joined the PostCrossing Forum! It's really cool! It's getting expensive though and Eric's not too thrilled about that! I've sent out 11 cards in the past 2 days. At least 22 are being sent out today! It's craziness, but super fun! If there weren't so many cards I would post pictures, but sorry- that's a no go! I promised Eric that I would slow down if he would go buy me some International Stamps! I have some coming in the mail, but that's taking too long so I want to go to the Post Office to buy more! I will use them all!

Somehow I only ended up sending out 22 cards, but my list says I have 24 cards... I'm trying to figure out where those extra cards might have gotten to. Or what- I just don't know! We'll see who doesn't get one and I'll resend I suppose. I'm sorry!

EDIT: I found those missing cards- they were still in my scanner! Whoops! hehe I didn't have enough stamps anyway so I will send those out as soon as I get my new stamps in the mail!

One Postcard In- Another Out!

My postcard to Russia finally made it so I sent out another card! This time to a little girl in France! I hope she likes it!
Just waiting on all 5 cards now! The card to Taiwan has been traveling for 11 days. Germany, Greece, and Finland for 3 days. And now France for 2! Woohoo!

Three Postcards Out/One Postcard In!

So today my postcards to China and Illinois was registered! So that means I had three (the one to Portugal on Sun) to send out. They are to Finland, Germany, and Greece! That makes the total sent to Germany, 4 and to Finland, 3. This is a first to Greece!

Today I also had a surprise in the mail! It was a postcard from Belarus! Pretty exciting! It's been a while since I've gotten a postcard from anywhere! She sent it out on Nov. 2 so it took about two weeks to get here! Good to know if I'm ever sending anything to Belarus! hehe

Two More Postcards Sent

So far they have been traveling for 6 days. Surely the IL one will be there soon! And today my Portugal card (sent Oct. 28) was registered! That means I can send another card! I'm just waiting on the time to cross over so it starts counting on Monday instead of Sunday. ha

Mom In Town!

Mom came into town last weekend for Faylen's birthday! It was so great to see her! I miss her so! We celebrated Faylen's birthday with her pretty much all weekend.
We went to Deception Pass Bridge for the first time on Sun. We've lived here off and on for 2.5 years and have never been!
It was thrilling- but I'll probably never do it again- at least not if Faylen's there. I was never scared of heights until Faylen was born- who knew! haha I just focused on taking pictures while crossing the bridge. In the beginning Mom almost didn't go. Little did she know we were all thinking it was a bad idea! haha It was fun though!
On Mom's last day she, Faylen, and I went to Burlington to go shopping. It was fun! She got Faylen's Christmas present and Eric's bday presents. I told her all I want for Christmas is for her and Randy to come out here! We'll see if it happens, but it would be a great end to the year!

Koda!

On Friday we picked up Koda! We also went down to Oregon so we could say we have been there! haha
He's a great pup! A little whiny, but that's ok. The nights have been pretty rough. I'm sure our neighbors hate us! haha
He and Gambi get along really well! It's fun to watch them play!
He's sort of getting the potty training down. Well he knows when we say "Go potty" that he's going outside and should pee. He's still pooing in the house though and that's really annoying. haha We're working on it. Ok he just awoke from his nap. Time to go!

Puppy News!

So we're going to pick up the puppy Friday! I'm stoked! That takes care of the problem I was having leaving Mom for a whole day while she's in town next weekend. The puppy will be only 7 weeks, but the breeder said that the puppies are acting ready to go! Woohoo!

Here is Legolas! He will probably be our pup! I'm still having trouble with what I would like to re-name him. I'm pretty sure I've narrowed it down to Koda and Kai.

Jennifer (the breeder) said that we can meet all of the other puppies and that the other one she suggests for us will still be there for us to look at. This is Aragorn: They're all just too beautiful! So we pretty much have everything ready for the puppy except for his "room" and a bag of food. We might have to buy him new food and water bowls because I kind of gave his to the cat. haha
I will update more though!

Two More Postcards Sent

So I mailed out two more postcards today! One to Portugal and the other to Finland. I get to send those two out because the people in Poland and Finland registered theirs from me today. Yay!

First Received PostCrossing Card!

Today I got my first Postcard in the mail from Postcrossing! It's from Fred in Berlin, Germany! It is beautiful! He picked well- actually he said that he got it in "Switzerland during summer holidays in a little *free basket*"! How cool? I'm pretty ecstatic!

He also added a phrase in German that he translated for me. I ask for people who send cards to me to do that. It also only took 4 days to get to me. He sent it on 10.23.09 (and today is 10.27). haha



I also sent out two postcards, but I forgot to take a picture of them because I was trying to catch the mailman! haha
I'm pretty bummed I didn't take pictures...
One was sent to Germany and it had deer on it.
The other was sent to The Netherlands and had a picture of Deception Pass on it.
Oh well- I will try to never send any again without taking a picture of both sides! haha

Oh yeah- I also figured out how to get the scanner to work so I won't have to "take pictures" of the postcards anymore. Now I can actually make them look good through the scanner! haha
